First Time Applicants:

1. Application

Download the application at the bottom of the page. Complete it in full. If something does not apply to you just put N/A.  Once your application is complete you can submit it via email or mail along with all of your other supporting documents.

2. Proof of Manual Osteopathy Training

Provide documentation of manual osteopathic training from an institution that meets the World Health Organization's Benchmarks for training in Osteopathy (2010). 

3. Proof of First Aid & CPR

Submit proof of your current First Aid Training  with a minimum of Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C).  This certification can not be expired and must be current.

4. Photo Identification

Provide a copy of government issued photo identification. Acceptable forms include driver's licence, passport, citizenship card. Provincial health cards are not permissible forms of ID.

5. Professional Liability Insurance

Provide proof of your professional liability insurance coverage with a minimum liability of $5 million.

6. Police Record Check

Submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the 12 months prior to your application.

7. Disclose All Proceedings

 Disclose any criminal investigations, criminal convictions or any professional misconduct proceedings/findings against you.

8. Pay Membership Fees

Pay all membership fees upon approval of application without delay.   

Once your application has been processed and approved you will receive an online invoice which you can pay with a credit card. You can also pay by e-transfer to mail@ocdo.ca .

  

The 2024 fee is $450.
